Diwali, the festival of lights is already knocking on everyone's doors and all wish to turn out in their best. The time of joyous celebrations and gatherings is here again! However, the pollution , dirt and other forms of grime makes looking beautiful a difficult task.
While you spruce up your home and shop till you drop in these hectic days before Diwali, do spend some time on yourself too. Remember to drink water to keep your skin hydrated .Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. It clears up your skin and gives a healthy glow.
For extra moisturizing of skin and enhancing skin smoothness, always apply a hydrating cream before going to bed at night and she never forgets to cleanse your face thoroughly of all makeup.
Always wear a sunblock in the day time even if you are indoors. This is very important for maintaining the youthful glow of skin and brightness of complexion.
Eating fried food promotes breakouts and dull skin. So if you can't resist, limit the intake as much as possible for that flawless and glowing skin.
Try to get 7-8 hours of beauty sleep although this may be difficult keeping in mind your hectic schedule. Insufficient sleep can have a damaging effect on the skin, make it look tired, give you ugly dark circles and accelerate the aging process.

Combine half a teaspoon of sandalwood powder with half a teaspoon of tulsi powder. Now add required amount of rose water and 2-3 drops of olive oil to this powder mixture. If you have oily skin, you can avoid the olive oil but for dry skin types, it is a must. Mix everything together well . This skin brightening can be used 2-3 times weekly for optimum results.
Another very good scrub is Lemon, Salt and Sugar Face Scrub.This simple scrub is perfect to brighten and exfoliate your complexion.Blend the ingredients in a bowl and gently massage the mask into skin. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, and then rinse with water.
For all kind of skin carrot is very healthy. A mask made of shredded carrot and aloe Vera gel can do wonders to the skin. It helps in building collagen and also helps in smoother skin. If used regularly it reduces dark spots too.
Now, this is a delicious face pack you should definitely try. Coffee and cocoa are both rich in antioxidants and work on damage done by free radicals. Make a paste out of equal quantities of coffee powder and cocoa powder by mixing it with a bit of honey. Apply on the face and neck and wash off when you feel its appropriate. It's a great way to reverse sun damage, improve elasticity of the skin and help the skin get supple and glowing.
