Hair Care for this Festive Season
Looking groomed at for this festive season is no easy feat. With sleepless nights, tent-head and flying cups of wee to contend with, it’s pretty much a given your hair’s going to be looking a little less than its usual best. Oh, yes we've all been there, and whether it's three nights continuously in the open giving you that weird combo of lanky, static locks or just that you can't quite be bothered to hit the showers, greasy hair is a given when it comes to the festival season. But hair maintenance doesn't have to be a downer. Keep these few tips in mind and make your locks healthy and looking fab this festive season.
First and most importantly try and include iron-rich foods like leafy vegetables, fish, pumpkin seeds, beans, chickpea, soybeans and cereals in your diet. It is recommended that you consume around 12 mg of iron daily. You also need protein because that's what strengthens your hair. Include complete proteins which are also rich in amino acids: like cheese, milk, soy, lentils, peas, quinoa and yogurt.

- Coconut hair oil only makes the hair free from frizzy. Always use gentle circular massage to rub the oil on the scalp, this improves blood circulation.
- Almond oil is really beneficial to the hair. Apply the oils at night time makes your hair smooth and shiny to the next morning.
- Other oils like castor oil and mustard oil are also enhancing the hair and keep your hair scalp smooth.
- Tea oil is the best applicant for the hair. it makes the hair glow and shiny.
- Mixture of lemon , curd, tea extracts are widely used for the hair masks and conditioners.
- Apple cider vinegar helps for the bouncy hair. Apply the vinegar mix with hot water on the hair makes your hair bouncy.
- Bottle gourd juices is good for the hair .Apply the bottle gourd juice on the hair and wash after 3o minutes gives the best results.
- Olive oil is best for the split ends. Apply the olive oil at the split ends of the hair. Amla powder, castor oil and egg mix all of them and make as smooth paste.
- For the hair fall take the henna, lemon juice and egg white mix all these. Apply this paste on the hair and hair scalp. Wash after 20 minutes.
Don't
- Indulge in overnight oil massages on scalp if you have oily scalp or prone to dandruff as this may worsen it.
- Wash your locks with hot water. Hot water makes your hair dry and brittle.
- Don't comb wet hair, it will fetch the hair from the roots.
- Don't compromise on your beauty sleep. This is the time when our body cells, including the hair follicles repair themselves and rejuvenate.
