Valentines Day Hair Care

Valentine’s Day is almost here and whether you’ll be on a big date with your special someone or hanging out with your best friends, your hair should be soft, touchable, and healthy!! You can dress your hair in any style and look amazing, if you have lustrous and manageable hair!! Nutrition plays a key role in hair growth and good nutrition radiates on your hair. So, let’s see what you should eat for fuller, stronger hair.......

  1. PROTEIN: Found in meat, fish, poultry, milk eggs, cheese, yogurt, sunflower seeds etc.
  2. VITAMIN A: Found in butter, eggs, milk carrots, tomatoes, oily fish, dark green leafy vegetables, apricots etc.
  3. VITAMIN B: Found in milk, eggs, wholegrain cereals, bread, wheat germs, nuts, soya beans, poultry, fish, meat etc.
  4. VITAMIN C: Found in blackcurrant, green peppers, citrus fruits like oranges, lemons guavas, kiwi, bananas, avocado and leafy green vegetables.
  5. VITAMIN D: Found in Sunlight, fish liver oils, oily fish, milk and eggs etc.
  6. VITAMIN E; Found in wheat germ, peanuts, coconuts, avocadoes, vegetable oils, pulses, green leafy vegetables etc.
  7. IRON: Found spinach, leafy greens, pulses, lentils beet, beans, and peas, dried fruits like figs, apricot and prunes.
  8. CALCIUM: Found in sesames seeds, dry figs, ragi atta, chick peas, tofu, and almonds.
  9. IODINE: Found in seafood, dried kelp.
  10. SULPHUR: Found eggs, sea weed, cheese, diary products etc. Drink coconut water daily. It is good for your skin, digestive system and does wonders to your hair.
  11. COPPER: Found in water which is stored overnight in copper container. Green leafy vegetables, whole grains, fresh fruits, egg, and chicken.

Out of all these , eating adequate amounts of protein is mandatory. Protein is composed of the amino acids essential for the building of new cells, including hair.

Also eating a diet with carbohydrates is essential as these help in anchorage of hair fibers to scalp. It is advisable to take a supplement for hair nutrition if you are unable to incorporate all these vitamins and nutrients in your diet.

But, up and above all this, plenty of water is one of the biggest requirements of healthy hair, as one fourth weight of a strand of hair is made of water, it makes your hair soft, silky and shiny.

Our hair is very vulnerable to stresses and strains of everyday life, hence good nutrition is required for our hair to prevent it from losing its shine and bounce becoming dull and brittle.

Eating the right foods for healthy hair is the way to go!
